Gunung
Leuser National Park, commonly abbreviated TNGL is one of Nature
Conservation Areas in Indonesia covering 1,094,692 hectares. The administration is located in two provinces of Aceh and North Sumatra. These forests are dominant in East Aceh, South Aceh and North Sumatra
Langkat, known by the results of world-class coffee and tobacco.

Mount Leuser National Park itself takes its name from Mount Leuser (3404 M asl) in Aceh. Mount Leuser National Park is very broad, including mangrove forests, swamp forest, lowland rainforest, moss forest, and up to subalpine forest. You can also hang out with some of the locals and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the local diner.
For a more challenging trip, you can hiking to the summit of Mount Leuser, which takes about 10-14 days. Angasan small village is the best starting point for climbing.
