Malbi goulash

 
Malbi goulash is special food Palembang. Malbi itself is a term for a dish that resembles a stew so many who say this dish is the beef stew. Malbi usually wear extra beef tenderloin and other spices like Tamarind. Malbi is one of the few sweet flavored foods derived from Palembang area because people who prefer spicy dishes.
Malbi usually served with rice oil, crackers and spicy pineapple sauce, pickles also gives spicy sour taste.
Malbi is a food that is usually served during the celebration of Eid and weddings.
Ingredients and Seasonings:
  1.     500 grams of beef, sliced
  2.     1 old coconut fruit, peeled epidermis, grated
  3.     4 cm ginger, crushed
  4.     5 red onions, puree
  5.     2 cloves garlic, crushed
  6.     1 teaspoon coriander, puree
  7.     ½ teaspoon nutmeg smooth
  8.     3 grains of pimento
  9.     15 grams of brown sugar
  10.     15 grams of tamarind, dissolved in a little water
  11.     salt and soy sauce to taste

HOW TO MAKE A TYPICAL Malbi PALEMBANG:
  1.     Squeeze half the grated coconut to take water, the rest is roasted and mashed.
  2.     Saute onion, garlic and coriander and add the ginger, stir-fry until fragrant. Insert slices of meat, stir and cook until browned.
  3.     Add nutmeg and cloves finely, give a little water, brown sugar, acid water after the water began to dry up. Enter coconut milk, salt, soy sauce and stir well. Cook briefly and then remove and serve.
